My Welcome and My Why

January 26, 2020

Welcome to my site! I am so glad that you are here and humbled by your interest. My hope is that as you peruse Stills Magnolia you will not only be encouraged but you will see God’s faithfulness and know how much He loves us!

So why? Why Stills Magnolia? I was born in Athens Georgia and raised in the adjacent town of Watkinsville. Southern born and southern grown! I started out as a Georgia Peach and have grown into a “Stills” Magnolia. Stills Magnolia of course comes from the Southern term Steels Magnolia, a woman who exemplifies great strength while being vulnerable, combined with femininity and uncommon fortitude. Someone who has courage in pain and adversity. I have definitely had my share of pain and adversity.  The most recent trial was in June of 2018 when I was diagnosed with Adult Onset “Still’s” Disease. At the time I was focused on understanding the diagnosis and surviving. After a year of battling Stills combined with my history of trials and loss, God placed on my heart a vision to tell my story, really His story, to communicate a message of hope to those facing insurmountable challenges.

So as we start this journey together I want to say thank you. Thank you for joining me. May you be encouraged and find hope in our Lord Jesus Christ!

What a beautiful story Pam. God is good ALL the time. HE knows what we need and when we need it. You and your story will bless so many-some struggling with life and others needing that one little extra encouragement to be the person God has planned for them.

Scared Still – Part 1

Scared, I’ve been scared. Hard to admit, but the reality I must face. I’ve been scared. Scared that maybe I heard God wrong about starting Stills Magnolia. Scared that maybe I wasn’t supposed to write. Scared that I wasn’t called to share my story. Scared that Stills...

Forgiveness, Can You Only Imagine It?

As I shared in my last blog, "Word Up! What's Your Word?", healing is the word God laid on my heart for this year.  Healing comes in all different forms, but probably the type, really an action, that provides the most healing is forgiveness. I wrote the below piece on...
