Sweet "Stills" Goodness

Sometimes life just calls for a sweet treat, a little “taste of goodness” . . . a birthday, a work party, a small group gathering, a celebration, a bad day, a long “are we there yet” car ride, or maybe the end of a great day at the beach, a bad break-up, remembering a loved one, a thank you for a friend, or the holiday season . . . yes, that sweet treat seems to find its way to our table. No matter our circumstances, in the good, the bad, the happy or sad, something about that sweet treat is still good. It temporarily takes us to a place of comfort, happiness and provides a little satisfaction.


Reminds me of my Jesus. The difference is while that sweet treats fades away, Jesus is everlasting. He provides comfort, joy and completely satisfies, truly a goodness like no other.  No matter what life has thrown at me, the loss of my Baby Jack to my rare life changing auto-immune inflammatory illness, I have tasted the goodness of God. Through the good, bad and just plain ugly, I know God is STILL good. As Psalm 27:13 says, “Still I am certain to see the goodness of The Lord in the land of the living.” My prayer is through my story and my baking journey, you will be reminded of God’s goodness and look for His goodness in your life.

The Elegant Classic

My White Chocolate Cheesecake is topped with a creamy, white chocolate ganache and baked on a sweet, silky, smooth Golden Oreo Crust. Topped with fresh whip cream and decorated with beautiful hand piped white chocolate, this elevated classic is a true crowd pleaser.

Key Ingredients: Ghirardellit white chocolate, white chocolate ganache

The Elegant Classic gets its name from the extravagant, hand piped white chocolate adornment. It is the first cheesecake I made when Jeff and I were first married. Over the past 25 years, it has undergone a few upgrades but the first one I baked will always hold a special place in my heart.

The 1"Or"2

The 1″Or”2 cheesecake is chocked full of Oreo cookies and baked on an Oreo crust.  Rich dark chocolate and white chocolate ganaches, topped with chopped Oreos, envelope this 1″Or”2. It is garnished with Oreos dipped in Ghiradelli white chocolate.

Key Ingredients: Oreos, Ghirardelli white chocolate and dark chocolate

Named after our favorite college boys who live in apartment 102, The 1″Or”2 is an Oreo Cheesecake that quickly became one of my most requested cheesecakes.

Lindsay's Love

This light, decadent Strawberry Chocolate Ganache cheesecake is made with a fresh strawberry puree, and baked on an Oreo crust covered with a made from scratch strawberry sauce. Topped with same stawberry sauce hidden under a chocolate ganache and decorated with chocolate dipped strawberries, this cheesecake speaks love.

Key Ingredients: fresh strawberries, Ghirardelli chocolate, fresh strawberry sauce 

Named after my sweet Lindsay, the first college student I discipled, The Lindsay’s Love cheesecake made it’s debut at Lindsay’s engagement party. Due to the light pink color and lightness of this cheesecake, the Lindsay’s Love was said to look like “Love is in the air”.

The JDR Cheesecake

 My peanut butter chocolate cheesecake is made with creamy peanut butter and Ghiradelli chocolates. The JDR is baked on a peanut butter cream Oreo crust and loaded with an enormous amount of chopped Reeses.  Covered with a chocolate ganache and topped with mounds of Reeses, this Reese Cheesecake will please the peanut butter lovers in your life.

The “JDR” (Jeff Duke’s Reese) Cheescake is named after my peanut butter, Reese everything loving husband. No one loves peanut butter more than my Jeff.

The "Chamb"ion Chip

This is my chocolate chip, chocolate chip cookie cheesecake.  It is baked on an Oreo crust, filled with mini chocolate chips and covered in a rich, creamy chocolate ganache. The topping is mini chocolate chips and my classic chocolate chip cookies.  The finishing touches of my chocolate chip cookies dipped in Ghirardelli white chocolate take this classic to a new level.

The “Chamb”ion Chip is named after one of my favorite families The Chambers. They hold a special place in my family’s heart and we love them dearly. The first time I baked this cheesecake was for them for a birthday celebration.

The "Grand" Key

This key lime cheesecake is made with fresh key limes and baked on a crispy, sweet graham cracker crust drizzled with my made from scratch key lime sauce. Topped with clouds of fresh whipped cream, key lime sauce, a sweet graham cracker crumble,and adorned with a cluster of hand dipped chocolate strawberries, this cheesecake is sure to please during the holiday season and refresh you on a hot summer day.

Key Ingredients: fresh hand squeezed key lime juice, fresh key lime sauce, graham crackers 

Due to the grander of its size and distinct key lime flavor, The “Grand” Key is appropriately named after my dad, “GrandGrand”. (not to mention it’s his favorite)

The "Sandy" Turtle

My sea salt caramel and chocolate turtle cheesecake is a balanced blend of caramel and chocolate swirled in a silky, smooth light brown sugar cheesecake. The “Sandy” Turtle is baked on a roasted pecan, graham cracker crust drizzled in made from scratch sea salt caramel sauce. It is topped with caramel sauce, chocolate ganache and garnished with chocolate dipped roasted pecans.

The “Sandy” Turtle is named after my brother in law for his love of the turtle cheesecake. I first made this cheesecake for his birthday which has now become his birthday cake.

The "May"kin Spice

A twist on pumpkin pie, the “May”kin is a pumpkin cheesecake seasoned with all the warm spices of fall. It is baked on a gingersnap crust drizzled in made from scratch caramel sauce, and topped with the same caramel sauce. The finishing touches are fresh pumpkin spice whipcream, and made from scratch, soft ginger snaps. The “May”kin is sure to have you reminiscing of cherished, family, holiday gatherings.

The “May”kin Spice is named after my sweet baby girl. I first made this cheesecake for my daughter for her birthday, which got the cheesecake craze started. With  hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and clove, The “May”kin Spice has quickly become a fall favorite.

The "Peep"ermint Oreo

Filled with Oreos, Mint Oreos and candy cane pieces, this cheesecake is baked on a Oreo Mint Crust sprinkled with candy cane bits. It is topped with 2 chocolate ganaches, candy cane pieces and garnished with Mint Oreos. If you enjoy a Thin Mint cookie or a Peppermint patty, the “Peep”ermint is just for you!

The “Peep”ermint Oreo first made its appeareance in December 2021 as a Christmas gift for the family of a special young lady in our lives. I couldn’t resist using her nicname when naming this cake. The “Peep”ermint Oreo is my 1″Or”2 cheesecake with a peppermint twist.

 

The Snicker's Satisfier

This Snickers cheesecakes is loaded with chopped Snickers and swirled with made from scratch chocolate and caramel sauces. Baked on an Oreo crust, topped with chocolate ganache, caramel, mounds of Snickers and fresh whip cream, this cheesecake will totally satisfy!

Key Ingredients: Snickers, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, Ghirardelli chocolate, Oreos, peanuts

 

The "Gareberry" Lemon

This lemon raspberry cheesecake is a perfect blend of raspberries and lemon that takes you back to a cool spring day. The “Gare”berry Lemon is made with fresh lemons and swirls of fresh raspberry sauce. It is baked on a Lemon Oreo Crust drizzled in fresh raspberry and fresh lemon sauces. My raspberry and lemon sauces along with fresh raspberries and fresh whipcream top this cheesecake.

The “Gare”berry Lemon is named after my son as it is his favorite. In 2021, I gave the “Gare”berry Lemon a halloween twist in celebration of his birthday for a Halloween/Birthday party.

The Triple Threat

The Triple Threat is a rich, creamy chocolate cheesecake.  The Triple Threat is a blend of smooth dark and semi-sweet chocolate and baked on an Oreo crust. It is topped with sea salt caramel sauce, chocolate curls and fresh chocolate whipcream. The Triple Threat is a chocolate lover’s dream.

The WCR Classic

The WCR Classic is my white chocolate cheesecake with a raspberry twist. Made with Ghirardelli white chocolate swirled with fresh raspberry sauce, this cheesecake is baked on a sweet, golden Oreo crust drizzled with fresh raspberry sauce. It is envleoped with a smooth, white chocolate ganache and fresh raspberry sauce. Fresh whip cream and white ganache infused raspberries toppings bring a level of sophistication to this elegant classic.

Old Fashion Caramel Cake

This brown sugar, buttery, vanilla cake is covered with a creamy, rich brown sugar caramel icing. Each bite of this silky, smooth goodness will melt in your mouth and take you right back to grandma’s kitchen.

The "Candy G." Cane

The “Candy G.” Cane is a peppermint bark twist on my classic elegant. This white chocolate cheesecake is topped with a creamy, white chocolate ganache, filled with Ghirardelli White Chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate pieces and candy cane pieces is baked on a candy cane Oreo Crust. Decorated with a beautiful hand piped white chocolate Christmas tree this holiday, candy cane pieces, and hand made white chocolate curls then topped with fresh whipcream this holiday cheesecake will have you dancing down Candy Cane Lane.
